What is Maca?

Peruvian Maca is a unique cruciferous plant native to South America. Today, it is cultivated in the highlands of Peru, Bolivia, and northwest Argentina. Due to its healing properties, the plant is also called Peruvian ginseng.

South Americans use the plant root as food. The Indian tribes that inhabited the mountainous regions of the Andes had used maca as a remedy for several centuries. Today, it is world-known as an efficient superfood with incredible properties. Maca has a positive effect on the functioning of the brain and the nervous system. It was discovered that maca contains lots of essential oils, the A, B, E, and C vitamins, different microelements, and minerals (compounds of copper, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc).

Benefits of Maca
